Sure, making money to support ourselves and our family is important but what is REALLY important is our relationship with the God who created us.
It may be a bit confusing to some when we say the God who created us because for many they feel it is a “different” God than the God they worship.
What we are talking about is the God who created everything, the heavens and the entire universe and the people who live there.
So when we speak of the God who created everything then we are all speaking of the same God.
The creator God first created the earth, the animals and the first two people: Adam and Eve.
He created them perfectly and they had no sin in them...until Satan, an angel who wanted to be as God, deceived them with the notion that they could become as GOD and know the difference between good and evil. God cast Satan out of heaven along with the angels that chose to follow Satan. God made a special plan for Satan and his followers called Hell. A place separated from God. But he never wanted any of the human race to go there.
Well, Adam and Eve believed Satan and sin entered the world. Now a perfect God could not have perfect fellowship with the people He had created unless there was a blood sacrifice to cover their sins for a time.
Adam and Eve had many children throughout their 900 years of life. Some of the uncles married their cousins or nieces. Back then there were no genetic faults to cause birth defects if family members married and had children. So over the years the human race began to multiply. Many years later, when sin had cause genetic faults within man He forbade the marriage of close family members.
One man whose name was Abraham was very righteous in God’s eyes. God blessed Abraham and promised that through the children of he and his wife Sarah the entire earth would be blessed. God gave Abraham 2 sons: Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael was the son of Abraham and his Egyptian handmaiden, Hagar. Isaac was the son of Abraham and his wife Sarah.
God favored Isaac and blessed him. God promised Abraham than the entire world would be blessed through his children but it was for Isaac that the promise from God was given.
But God also blessed Ishmael and through him came the great Islamic nation.
From Isaac came the Jewish nation and ultimately the Christians.
So, you see, Muslims, Christians and Jews all have the same Father...Abraham. That means that we are all brothers and created by the same creator God.
God gave us laws to follow called the 10 commandments. But He knew that we could never follow them exactly and without transgressions...or sin. That is why he demanded a blood sacrifice every year to cover our sins.
So we all have the same problem that breaks the fellowship with God. Muslim, Jew and Christian...have sin. None of us are worthy to approach the throne of our God or live with Him eternally without a blood sacrifice to cover our sins. But the blood of sheep, goats or cows could not cover our sin adequately.
So God Himself came down to earth and took on the flesh of a man to become a perfect sacrifice to forever cover our sins with His blood and allow us to fellowship with Him and to spend eternity with Him. It required a perfect sacrifice. Only God Himself could give a perfect sacrifice.
He does force us to accept His free gift of eternal salvation but He left it up to each individual to accept or reject His free gift.
The God/man was Jesus Christ. He gave his life that we might receive eternal salvation through the shedding of His blood... God’s own blood.
Yes, God came down to earth as a man...Jesus Christ. He gave His life and died but He predicted that He would come back from the dead after three days...and He did. Hundreds of people saw Him after His death and to this very day no one has ever produced the body of Jesus...because the God/man Jesus resurrected from the dead and ascended back into heaven. But even though He went back to heaven He left His Holy Spirit to be with us and live in our hearts.
The fee give God gave us is available to you right now. All God asks is that we confess that we are sinners...and we all are. Then accept the free gift of eternal salvation that He gives us by simply believing that He came to earth as the God/man Jesus and died for us so that through His blood we might be cleansed of all of our sins...both the sins of the past and the future.
All we have to do is accept God’s free gift to be forgiven of all of our sins and be given eternal life in heaven with God after we die.
You see our God is a perfect and loving God who wants us to be with him and have fellowship with Him daily. But as a perfect God He can not fellowship with people who have sinned and so he came down to earth as Jesus to shed His perfect blood that through his death and resurrection we might be cleansed of all of our sins and be saved to spend eternity with Him in heaven.
But if we believe on Him we can be with Him not only after we die but everyday. If we accept his gift He promises to come into our heart and live with us to love us, guide and fellowship with us everyday.
If you would like to accept God’s free gift right now simply pray this simple prayer:
Dear God. I know and I confess to you that I am a sinner. I accept your free gift of eternal salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I believe that you came down to earth as Jesus to save us from our sins. I believe that you gave your life for us and that you resurrected back to heaven. Please come into my heart right now and forgive me of all of my sins. Thank you Father for this gift. I will follow you all the days of my life and I know that I will dwell with you in heaven for eternity. In Jesus’s name I pray, amen.
